The FA's free app for running your team: fixtures, availability, team sheets and results in one place.
What it does
- Fixtures added for you from Full-Time
- Squad added for you from Whole Game System
- Ask players for availability, and tell them when they are picked
- Pick your line-up and submit team sheets on the go
- Warns you about suspended or ineligible players
- Submit the score and match return straight to Full-Time
- Organise training and social events with instant updates
Before you start
- Your players must be registered on Whole Game System, with a parent or carer email for youth players.
- You must be set up as team manager on Whole Game System.
- Your league must use Full-Time for fixtures.
- Download Matchday by The FA from the App Store or Google Play.
Can't see your team or players? Ask Denise Bowers, Secretary, to check your role and registrations on Whole Game System.
Your weekly routine
- 1Start of the week: check the fixture, then send an availability request so parents can reply in the app.
- 2Midweek: confirm kick off and venue with the opposition and book your referee.
- 3Matchday: pick your line-up and submit your team sheet before kick off. The app checks every player is eligible.
- 4After the game: submit the score and your match return the same day.
- 5By Monday 8pm: fill in the club results form so your team is in the weekly newsletter and website news.
Top tips
- Get parents on the app early. Ask every parent to download Matchday at the start of the season, so availability replies come in on time.
- The match return includes: the result, referee marks, Respect marks, a pitch mark, any league questions, and player stats (starters, subs, goals, assists and cards).
- Referee mark of 60 or below? You must give reasons in the comments box.
- Check your stats before you save. Once a result is entered, stats can lock. If you need to change them after that, contact your league.
- One Full-Time login per league. If your team plays in two leagues, you will have two logins.
- Match fees in the app only work if the club has set up payments. Speak to the committee before using them.
Local referees
Referees who cover our games. Book early, confirm the kick off time and venue, and agree the fee before matchday.
Know a good local referee? Send their name and number to Andy Coultrup and we will add them to this list.
